Immersion or Needle Vibrators are most commonly used vibrator for concrete. It consists of a steel tube (with one end closed and rounded) having an eccentric vibrating element inside it. This steel tube called poker is connected to an electric motor or a diesel engine through a flexible tube. They are available in size varying from 40 to 100 mm diameter. The diameter of the poker is decided from the consideration of the spacing between the reinforcing bars in the form-work. The frequency of vibration varies up to 15000 rpm. However a range between 3000 to 6000 rpm is suggested as a desirable minimum with an acceleration of 4g to 10g. The normal radius of action of an immersion vibrator is 0.50 to 1.0m. However, it would be preferable to immerse the vibrator into concrete at intervals of not more than 600mm or 8 to 10 times the diameter of the poker. The period of vibration required may be of the order of 30 seconds to 2 minute. The concrete should be placed in layers not more than 600mm high.

(2) The operator should be educated in electricity, and wear insulated rubber shoes and insulated gloves when working.
(3) The cable line should meet the length required for operation. The cable line must not be piled up or the vehicle can be squeezed. It is strictly forbidden to use the cable to pull or hang the vibrator.
(4) Before use, check each part and confirm that the connection is firm and the direction of rotation is correct.
(5) The vibrator shall not be subjected to vibration testing on the initially concrete, floor, scaffolding and dry hard ground. When the maintenance work is interrupted, the power should be disconnected.
(6) During operation, the bending radius of the vibrating rod hose shall not be less than 500mm, not more than two bends. The vibrating rod shall be vertically lowered into the concrete during operation, and shall not be hard-inserted, inclined or pushed to the rod. The head must not be fully inserted into the concrete. The insertion depth should not exceed 3/4 of the length of the rod. It is not suitable to touch the steel bars, core tubes and embedded parts.
(7) The vibrating rod hose shall not be broken. When the hose is used for too long and the length is increased, it shall be repaired or replaced in time.
(8) When the machine needs to move the vibrator, turn off the motor and then cut off the power. Do not pull the motor with a hose.
(9) After the operation is completed, the motor, hose and vibrating rod should be cleaned up, and maintenance work should be carried out according to the specified requirements. When the vibrator is stored, the hose should not be piled up, it should be placed straight, and the motor should be protected against moisture.

2.2 Electric attached, electric flat vibrator
(1) Adhesive and flat vibrator bearings shall not be subjected to axial forces. The motor shaft shall be kept horizontal when in use.
(2) When multiple attached vibrators are used simultaneously on one template, the frequencies of the vibrators should be consistent, and the vibrators on the opposite side should be staggered.
(3) Before the operation, the attached vibrator should be inspected and tested, and the test vibration should not be carried out on dry hard soil or hard objects. The vibrator installed on the silo of the mixing station shall be equipped with a rubber mat.
(4) When installing, the position of the screw hole of the vibrator bottom plate should be correct. The mounting of the foot bolt should be prevented from being skewed and the casing should be damaged. The anchor bolts should be fastened and the tightening degree of each bolt should be the same.
(5) When using, the cable should not be pulled too tightly, and should not be broken. When working, always observe the leakage protector of the electrical equipment and the grounding or zeroing device and confirm the pass.
