Tamping rammer machine is mainly used for compacting various different types of soil in many kinds of construction scenarios.It’s operations includes applying impacts to the surface of the soil to level and apply force to compact it evenly. During the process of compaction, it eventually reduces the number of voids among the soil particles and hence increases the dry density of soil.A Tamping Rammer basically consists of four components. A torque generator, a gear, a spring housed in a cylinder, and a pad foot or shoe.The torque generated by the internal combustion engine or electric motor is transmitted to the crank mechanism as a reciprocating motion. The crank mechanism transmits this motion to the shoe or foot via a spring built into the cylinder. This creates vibrations in the tamper’s feet. The fuel the engine uses can be petrol, diesel or compressed air. The rammer is designed to lean forward at a specific angle, allowing erratic forward movement during operation.Tamping Rammer Machine
